Painting Inspiration:

Remeniscing on my old camping days on Rottnest Island after toughing base with an old friend Ange who still works in the boutique. I painted this bay sooooo many times, snorkelling & exploring to add to the depth of each piece.
It will be so lovely to get back to see how far the development has gone in the 16 years since I painted my first oil painting on the island.

As the evening thunderstorms approach the late afternoon brings in a pastel hue. Some small waves brek on the rocks near Boobie Beach better known as surf beach

Painting Inspiration:

So many times people have commented on my Rottnest Island paintings, saying how much they looked like this area. Its funny they should say that because the habitat is so similar, same kelp, same species of fish, same shells, same yummy whiting & reefy habitats. So for this reason I created the Port Neill Colour Spectrum which looks amazingly like some of the Rottnest Island Spectrums created in the past.
